    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

  • Perform office administration duties, to include answering telephone calls, typing, scanning, photocopying, filing etc
  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the premises, ensuring all visitors sign in via the visitors book in reception and notifying the Company representative they are visiting of their arrival
  • Organisation of food and beverages, for meetings, visitors etc
  • Receive, sort and distribute, where appropriate, all incoming post and prepare all outgoing mail for collection daily, i.e. checking weights for correct postage, franking, etc
  • Raise any postal or franking issues directly with Royal Mail
  • Assist with the management of the Company’s telephone and mobile phone systems, e.g. first port of call  for reporting any issues
  • Assist in the maintenance of Equator for recording employees holidays and absence
  • Assist with the organisation of travel and accommodation arrangements, as directed

Sales and Marketing

  • Maintain sales and contract archive filing system
  • Ensure sales enquiries are entered and tracked onto the enquiry register and manual files raised
  • Enter received orders onto the Simplicity system (following receipt of order from the Sales department)
  • Compile contract folder and forward, for review, to the Sales department
  • Ensure Simplicity is updated with any order amendments
  • Maintain customers details on card index system
  • Ensuring marketing material stock levels are maintained, including liaising with suppliers for further stock requirements
  • Issue marketing literature, with standard letters, in response to customer enquiries and requests and record details within the literature folder

Assist with Systemcare and spares administration
