The Partnership is a growing digital design and marketing agency that requires an enthusiastic digital developer apprentice. You’ll be part of our in-house team of handpicked creative geniuses and marketing gurus and you’ll be responsible to our Head of Digital.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Advanced Level Apprenticeship

Of course you’ll need a cool head, good sense of humor and a problem solving mindset - we know you’ll need to ask lots of questions too.
You’ll need to be PC or Mac literate with good general software skills. It would be an advantage if you have some programming skills, but not essential. Above all you should be have a passion for IT and problem solving.
You’ll be joining a company who loves making a difference to our clients and totally nuts about delivering not just good, but outstanding digital experiences. So we’re looking for someone who shines, a self-starter, a quick learner, someone who never says ‘that will do’ but always aims to do their very best work, each time. Is this you?
This aspect of the role requires an eye for detail and an aim towards providing a good end user experience on a well-structured application.
Creating back-end systems using PHP
Using a variety of technologies and frameworks, the successful candidate will learn to build back-end systems primarily using PHP with object-oriented methodologies such as MVC. These require interaction with various databases and use various API calls to communicate with other third-party web applications.
This aspect of the role requires logic and forethought on how a system may be used, attempting to pre-empt problems before they can occur.
Database Design and Development
The apprentice will learn to understand the use and design of relational databases, managing database transitions and the security of the data held within.
Base Server Management
The apprentice will learn how to setup a web-server, adding domains and learning how servers communicate, relying on one another to perform.

- Good personal management skills relating to conduct, timekeeping and delivery against commitments.
- Good inter-personal skills working in and contributing to a team, both client facing and internally.
Applicants should be literate and numerate. Grade C and above in English, Maths and IT are preferable
