  • Sales invoicing.
  • Dealing with telephone and email enquiries.
  • Liaison with other departments, suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain information, raise invoices and assist with the accounts function as directed.
  • Shared responsibility for other functions within the accounts department including credit control and purchase ledger.  Your role will include working on any accounts-related tasks within the business.
  • Ensuring messages for other members of the accounts team are relayed promptly, taking responsibility to follow these calls up and check that action has been taken as necessary to the clients’ complete satisfaction.
  • Joint contact point for accounts team.
  • Preparation and despatch of sales invoices.
  • Inputting and extraction of data and running of reports on SAGE Line 50 and Clean Link.
  • Assisting with processing of invoices and delivery notes from suppliers, sub-contractors and own staff.
  • Data entry of wages information on Sage Payroll.
  • Provision of general administrative support as required.

There is potential for a full-time permanent position being made available for the right candidate.

Things to consider

From 1st October 2015, a National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices has been introduced for young people aged 16-18 and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. The new rate is £3.50 per hour. The new NMW applies to time working plus time spent training as this is also part of the Apprenticeship. Anyone not covered by the age category above will be entitled to the NMW appropriate to their age.
