As our apprentice you will have the opportunity to be trained in helping maintain the smooth running of the office as you learn about the financial services sector.

Your main duties will be to deal with all aspects of customer service for our clients which are mainly from the Polish community - it is therefore essential that you are able to speak fluent Polish as well as English.

Your main duties will be:

  • Answering the telephone and helping with client enquiries.
  • Arranging client appointments.
  • Data input and management of our customer relations system.
  • Typing customer correspondence.
  • Electronic filing and scanning.
  • Updating clients on the progress of their case.
  • Liasing with sales support representatives from various banks and insurance companies.

We are a growing business so there is the ability to progress in the company and if desired train to be a financial advisor where assistance will be provided in terms of achieving the required qualifications.

Things to consider

This role will require a lot of time spent talking on the telephone - you will be trained and supported in how to deal with client enquiries however you must be comfortable and confident in picking up the telephone to make calls. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

About the employer

We specialise in providing financial services and property related advice to a primarily Polish client base, helping first time buyers, property owners and investors with mortgage and protection services. We provide full support with the house buying process as well as helping our clients to manage their financial commitments throughout the term of their mortgage, with regular reviews and ongoing advice.
