Dealing with diverse networks and technologies, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to progress their career in IT/Telecommunications with the potential for promotion, and growth through the company.

Key duties:

  • To provide first line helpdesk support to clients, assisting with IT issues via the phone, email and remote support tools.
  • Assist with the specification, purchase, build, installation and configuration of client IT services and solutions.
  • Use the company’s Service Desk (PSA) system to log all requests, issues and incidents and maintain full details of the actions taken to achieve resolution.
  • Use the company’s Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) tools to manage and monitor client infrastructure and work with the helpdesk team.
  • Provision cloud based services by utilising various vendor cloud portals.
  • Some on-site work may be required but job holder may be accompanied by a senior engineer.

Qualifications required

5 GCSEs or equivalent (ideally A* - C) including Maths and English. A GCSE (or equivalent) in ICT will be preferred although applications will be assessed on an individual basis.

Tech and digital professionals in London earn an average salary of £52,500 per year, so this Apprenticeship could be the start of a very promising and profitable career. After the apprenticeship Over 90% of our Apprentices move on to permanent full time employment in the tech industry. There are also opportunities to extend your training with a higher level Apprenticeship programme. Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
