Initially the candidate will be trained to work on the Antipasti side of the operation and gradually move on to full cooking and preparation.

Future prospects

There is a great opportunity for the candidate to learn all aspect of preparation and producing dishes from basic. They will be taught on how to make fresh pasta’s and various other dishes that are on the menu. Alongside this wide menu, the chef’s create special dishes every week which will allow the candidate to place their own input. In addition they will be trained on all aspect of preparation of various desserts that are prepared on site. Once they have learnt and improved to the acceptable standard there is the opportunity to take over as the senior chef.

Things to consider

Successful applicants eligibility will be subject to; evidence of prior qualifications and meeting the initial English & Maths assessments requirements for the Apprenticeship. Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to18 year olds is a priority and fully funded by government. Training for apprenticeships for those over this age is part funded by employers and they are expected to make part or full contribution. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour from 1st October 2016. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
