Maplin Electronics is the UK’s biggest and best specialist retailer of consumer electronics. Their growing national network of 210+ stores is a goldmine of useful consumer technologies and gadgets. Walk into any Maplin store and you’ll find a diverse range of products. As a Supply Chain Apprentice you will report into the Branch Merchandisers who are responsible for controlling the levels of stock in every store - ensuring there is just enough of the right product in the right store at the right time. 

You will provide administrative support to the branch merchandising, merchandise planning and logistics teams within the Rotherham and London support centre. You will be the first port of call for all store stock requests and store to customer transfers, supported by the branch merchandisers. You will also support logistics and branch merchandising by completing reports and admin tasks. 

Key Responsibilities:
    Completing stock requests in a timely manner.
    Completing store to customer transfers within 24 hours.
    Liaising with merchandise planners to aid in effective intake. 
    Ad-hoc admin support as directed
    Answering and directing all inbound calls from the store network. 

As part of your apprenticeship you will study towards your Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 2. This will be delivered to you in the workplace by a dedicated trainer who will visit you regularly to support and assess you throughout your 12 month programme. 
No experience is necessary as you will receive full on job training, however a working knowledge of Microsoft Word; good verbal and written communication skills and a high level of numeracy are preferred.
