Vacancy full description:

Duties include:

  • To plan and lead sporting and activity sessions.
  • To provide office cover and support for other DASH members.
  • To assist in producing promotional materials for activities.
  • To attend any training deemed necessary for the job.
  • To participate in regular supervision sessions.
  • To be aware of the confidentiality and other relevant policies.
  • To answers telephone queries.
  • To attend staff meetings.
  • To undertake any task commensurate with the post as requested by line manager or Chief Officer.

Qualifications required:GCSE (or equivalent) Maths, English, ICT (or Science) Grade C or above.

Experience of working with, studying with or have experience of interaction with disabled people would be an advantageous, however the personal qualities and skills required listed above are equally important.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
