Fabrication and Welding Apprenticeship in Old Whittington for a growing company.

  • The business requires an individual with some knowledge of the welding industry and some experience - either formal or informal.
  • Ideally having completed NVQ Level 1 or 2 (or equivalent) in Welding or an engineering discipline.
  • Supporting the production and manufacture of parts for clients, helping measure and fabricate and install products on clients site.
  • Varied role with an opportunity to learn many skills and start a career in the industry.

Qualifications required

  • Ideally NVQ Level 1 or equivalent in welding or an engineering based qualification.
  • Maths & English A- C or equivalent would be preferred.

Things to consider

Do you want a career in welding? Are you prepared to complete the 3 year apprenticeship? The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
