As an Apprentice Healthcare Partner you will be supported through an 18-month scheme dedicated to your learning and part of the approved apprenticeship framework. Working across both the sales floor and pharmacy dispensary you will play a crucial role in helping our customers live more positive lives. Throughout your qualification you will be trained to dispense medication, provide pharmacy services and advice and recommend products. We will train you to understand our extensive range of health and wellbeing products and services such as helping people to stop smoking, diabetes screening or choosing the right pain relief product. Providing these services ensures that our customers receive the best experience that community pharmacy has to offer, so they recognise and recommend us as healthcare experts.

Job Purpose – Working across both the sales floor and dispensary whilst completing your required qualifications, as a trainee healthcare partner you play a crucial role in providing comprehensive solutions that help our customers live more positive lives. You will complete a thorough on the job training qualification which will allow you to dispense medications, provide pharmacy services and advice and recommend products and services. You will develop knowledge of our extensive range of health and wellbeing products and services to ensure our customers receive the best experience that community pharmacy has to offer, resulting in them recognising and recommending us as experts within the healthcare arena.

Once you have attained a level 2 Healthcare and Dispenser qualification and are consistently demonstrating great customer service and ICARE behaviours, you will be appointed to the role of healthcare partner. Thereafter you will be supported to develop a career, either on one of our community pharmacies or within the wider Celesio group.

Qualifications required

GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English, at level C or above.

Future prospects

Potential to progress into a permanent Healthcare Partner role in the pharmacy, with a view to progress to an NVQ3 qualification or progress into a management role.
