Bold Heath Equestrian Centre in Widnes is searching for an Apprentice Groom.  Reporting to the Yard Manager the successful candidates will carry out the following tasks:

  • Feeding
  • Turning out
  • Mucking out & bedding down to a high standard
  • Exercise and school horses
  • Hay nets and feeds
  • Brushing off and feet cleaning
  • Checking for injuries and well being
  • Tack cleaning
  • Muck heap management
  • Sweeping up and general yard tidiness
  • Washing out feed buckets
  • To take personal responsibility in ensuring that you notice any changes in all horses

We are a family run Equestrian Centre located in Widnes, Cheshire, with great links to the Motorways and a large car park for all size of horse transport. We are proud to have an Olympic size all weather outdoor arena and 2 indoor arenas accommodating both 20 x 40 dressage tests as well as 20 x 60 dressage tests. Bold Heath is well established and we run competitions all year round for all our competitors. For those just beginning to ride or perhaps returning to riding after a break we have a wonderful family of school ponies and horses for every age and capability.
