We are looking for a couple of apprentice chef’s that are passionate about food, We offer Good quality Traditional food but we have brought it into the modern era, We are looking at offering a New menu that has a wide range of dish’s to cater for everybody.

Daily duties will inlcude, working alongside the team on :

  • Daily preparation, on all sections in the kitchen 
  • Receiving, checking orders,
  • Learning how the kitchen runs on a day to day basis 
  • Cleaning the kitchen after service.
  • Helping with the service team.

A*-D in English and Math or equivalent

Things to consider

The wage for this role is dependant on experience. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). For more information visit: www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates

We offer a fantastic, homely atmosphere and great home cooked food with something for all your friends and family. As a Wadworth pub, we have a fantastic range of local real ales from the historic Devizes brewery, but if beer isn't your thing there is a great selection of soft drinks, lagers and wines, and a new gin menu coming soon too. Alex and Lloyd transformed this pub into a cosy place to relax and eat. They opened in march 2017.
