We are currently looking for a dedicated full time Apprentice Fish Fryer to work at our branch in Willerby and Bilton. Training will include preparation of and frying fish and chips to the highest standard for our restaurant and take-away.

£162.00 - £282.00
The current National Minimum Wage rates are £4.05 an hour for 16 - 17 year olds, £5.60 an hour for 18 - 20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship(usually one day per week).
Total hours per week: 40.00

Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
The Fish Fryer will work within a team, in one of our state of the art branches, with lots of prospects to gain skills and knowledge as part of their fish and shellfish intermediate apprenticeship.
As a Fish Fryer you will be able to take in deliveries of fish and shellfish from suppliers, prepare the fish and help to supply prepared items for the customers.
You will be fully trained in all aspects of your job role and there will be some flexibility within your apprenticeship to tailor your programme. You will work closely with the (manager/mentor of the business) and other employees.
As part of an intermediate apprenticeship you will also achieve qualifications in English and Maths.
Positions are available immediately.
Requirements and prospects
- Previous experience in Fish frying, Fast food or Catering is required.
- The ability to communicate well with different sectors of the public.
- The ability to work well as part of a team. Has the desire and potential to acquire a new set of skills and develop within the company.
- Good time keeping
- Pleasant manners
- Approachable with good Customer Service skills
- Clean, tidy and hygienic
- Can work well in a team
- Is comfortable handling and working with raw fish and shellfish
No formal qualifications required.

About the employer
A Work-based Intermediate Apprenticeship at Level 2 Fish and Shellfish will be offered.
Note achieving Math and English Level 1 is essential to complete the apprenticeship programme.
