Loadhog are looking to recruit Production Apprentices based at the Hog Works, Hawke Street. The role will initially focus in the first 18 months on a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations, after completion further education will be available. The role predominately will be the assembly and reclamation of components and finished products within tight quality and time targets. Exposure in all areas of our state of the art facility will be given, including working with injection moulding machines and our HACCP controlled wash plant. The successful candidate must: Believe in our business’s core values Be able to work as part of a team and individually. Be able to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines. 32 holidays per annum, 15% non-contributory pension (age limit,) Private medical (BUPA,) along with any shift allowances payable. Due to the shift pattern the candidate must be 18 years or above. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
