Duties
You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:

  • Creating and posting content on employers website including updating the company’s social media platforms accordingly.
  • Helping create content for the business including blogs and digital marketing using digital software’s such as Photoshop
  • Support Email marketing initiative to grow the company, manage campaigns and measure results
  • Looking into marketing trends and reporting back to line manager as required and using marketing tools such as SEO and PPC

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Experience with Google AdWords/SEO
  • Experience using Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks or Illustrator
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail when writing content
  • Passion for IT and Social Media and Digital Marketing

Personal qualities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised, friendly and approachable
  • Enthusiastic and professional attitude
  • Excellent telephone manner and experience dealing with customers on the telephone

Qualifications required

  • At least 5 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent/predicted with 1 in English Language/Literature

Future prospects

Upon completion of the 12 month programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
