    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Ever wanted to work for an exciting and busy online trading company for gaming, computing and gadgets? This is the job for you!

Working in a busy customer support environment the ideal candidate will be hard working, keen, organised and able to work under pressure. As the support team you will be required to help customers and deal with their enquiries and complaints over the phone and via email.

Your duties will include:

  • Dealing efficiently with customer enquiries and complaints
  • Interacting calmly and professionally with customers and their queries
  • Gain knowledge of products and items for sale including their set up procedures and troubleshooting
  • Handling returns
  • Submitting claims for lost items with mail and courier services
  • Work with the team to resolve issues and processing of orders
  • Re-ordering of stock for suppliers
  • Data entry and typing of letters
  • Booking appointments and looking after visitors

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

The ideal candidate should have basic IT skills and have an excellent telephone manner.

Self-motivated, patient and reliable. Excellent communication and kind manner and likes problem solving.

Personal qualities

Needs to have a positive and hardworking attitude with the willingness to progress

Qualifications required

GCSE grade C or above in Maths & English desired but not essential.

Training provider

You will have on the job training within the organisation, and have an assigned Assessor who will provide you with additional training sessions and assessments to gain the Customer Service Practitioner Qualification. You will have an e-portfolio to work through and gather evidence during your role.

The qualification will include:
