About the employer

Kennet School is a dynamic and ambitious 11 to 18 co-educational comprehensive school which opened in September 1957; now, as then, it serves the population of Thatcham and the surrounding villages. As the most over-subscribed school in West Berkshire, the school has grown steadily in terms of numbers on roll and, more importantly, facilities available to pupils and staff alike. Kennet school prides itself in achieving academic success for all pupils. The 2015 results were outstanding; the A Level results were acknowledged by West Berkshire Council as being the best in the area; GCSE results were brilliant. In December 2015, we learned that our value added figure places Kennet in the top 4% of schools nationally. Kennet remains an ambitious and determined school where all pupils will be given every assistance and encouragement to achieve their absolute potential. Kennet School is a vibrant place of learning and community activity.
