Exciting opportunity for a Level 2 IT qualified individual to move into a Level 3 IT role, within the telecoms industry.   Duties as follows, working out of Lancing Office

  •  Working with Sales & Finance Teams
  •  Report to Provisioning Team Leader
  •  Monitor and control email provisioning queue
  •  Monitor, organise and prioritise provisioning tasks/tickets
  •  Learn the ability to provision WLR Lines, Broadband, Hosted VoIP Services, Number Porting, Email Services, Anti-Virus, General IT Managed Services
  •  Help support delivery of IT projects
  •  Setup / Configure hardware such as VoIP Phones, Routers & PC’s
  •  Work with installation / engineering team to plan installations & customer training

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

A driving licence would be advantageous to be able to undertake client visits but not essential.

Training provider

The successful candidate will study the Level 3 IT Application Specialist/IT User Framework working within the Telecoms industry and applying the knowledge from the framework to the telecoms industry. This will include health & safety, Employer Rights and Responsibilities and a technical certificate. For those that don’t already hold GCSE Grade C or equivalents in Maths and English, they will also be required to sit functional skills in these subjects.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices £3.30 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
