    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for a busy restaurant in Brook, Ashford.  

The chefs you will be working with have a vast amount of experience in highly prestigious restaurants, working alongside famous chefs.   

As an Apprentice Chef, your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Assisting in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to deliver an excellent customer experience 
  • Undertake all reasonable duties as assigned by the Head Chef 
  • Get involved in creating high quality dishes, including Breakfast, Lunches, Starters, Mains and Desserts. 

You will be working 35/40 hours per week, covering shifts throughout the week, stating as early as 10am and finishing latest at 9.30pm.  
Apprenticeship salary, 3.50 per hour, opportunity for progression and a permanent position once complete. 

You will need your own mode of transport due to the location of the restaurant.
