Sport plays a large part of school life at Upton Hall and we are excited to announce that we are looking to recruit a Sports Apprentice.

This is a diverse role with a variety of responsibilities. We are looking for someone who:

  • Will be a great sporting role-model for our students
  • Can confidently organise and manage activities during lunch and break times
  • Can support the team in organising and planning competitions and events
  • Has a love of sport
  • Will support with assessments and progress tracking (this will require a good level of ICT knowledge)
  • Has a good level of sporting knowledge
  • Someone who is specialised in a sport would be advantageous, for example; a Netball player, Footballer etc.

Qualifications required

  • Minimum A*-C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths. 
  • Level 2 qualification in sport/PE/activity leadership or equivalent.

Future prospects

This role could lead on to further employment as a Sports coordinator, Specialist Sports Coach or progression onto a high level qualification. Some candidates also go on to university (if they already hold relevant A-Level qualifications) to train as school teachers.
