    The current National Minimum Wage rates are £4.05 an hour for 16 - 17 year olds, £5.60 an hour for 18 - 20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship(usually one day per week).

Duties include:

  • Dealing with the public via telephone & email.
  • Receiving inbound calls and making outbound calls you will collect overdue debt on behalf of several large UK companies.

Working in a busy office environment.

Full training on customer service, negotiation, systems and compliance is provided.

This is an excellent personal development opportunity.

Due to our excellent collections performance and compliance record we are continuing to take on new clients.

As the business expands we continue to recruit new collectors each month.

We have a new training academy where you will be mentored for at least 5 weeks with extra support and training before you are placed in a team.

There is an open ended commission scheme designed to generate £5,400 per annum for on target performance.

Rotating shift pattern between 8.30am and 7.00pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am and 6.00pm Friday and 1 in 4 Saturdays 8.30am until 12.30pm.

Computer literate, strong attention to detail, ability to follow compliance regulations and guidelines.

Excellent communication skills, resilient, targets driven, desire to succeed, willing to learn and implement coaching actions.

Qualifications required

GCSE English and Maths grade C and above or equivalent

To be able to progress to more specialist collection teams with longer term future prospects.

Things to consider

Customers can sometimes be upset or even angry at being contacted by a debt collection agency and you will need to be able to calm them down before proceeding with the call. Frequent objections to paying off debts need to be overcome. If you think you would not like sales then you will most probably wouldn't like collections.
