Main Responsibilities

Support people with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices enabling them to take control of their own lives, increasing independence.
Ensure all personal care tasks are carried out in line with the needs, wishes and preferences of the individual, following the care plan.
Administer medication (if trained and qualified to do so) in line with the policy and the individual’s care plans
Support the development of person centred planning, ensuring each individual’s plan has meaningful and achievable goals.
Ensure risk assessments are actioned as necessary, in line with policies and procedures.

To assist in the creation, review and implementation of the following:-

  • Support Plans
  • Risk Assessments
  • Key worker duties for monthly reports
  • Finances
  • Person Centred Plans
  • Health Action Plans
  • To be flexible and responsive at all times to meet the changing needs of the service and the service users

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills


Experience of working or willingness to work with relevant client group
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Satisfactory CRB Check and check against ISA Barring list (where applicable)
Good spoken and written communication skills
A responsible attitude
Computer literate

Reliable, confident, willing to learn, caring attitude, conscientious, creative, team member, like the outdoors.

Qualifications required

Completed Health and Social Care Level 2 desirable
working towards Health and Social Care Level 3 an advantage

Future prospects

Full time position as a Support Worker, could lead to Shift Leader / Team Leader. Continuation of studies fully funded.

Employment is subject to satisfactory references and DBS clearance. Before commencing employment a week long induction may be required at the Head Office which is based in Highams Park, London E4 9HH. Those under 18 require two days off per week and cannot work more than 40hrs/week or more than 8 hours/day.
