As our Apprentice you will have a busy and varied job role.

Duties include;

  • Meeting and greeting visitors to our business in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring that you brief them on our games clearly and patiently.
  • Taking bookings for our games over the phone or face-to-face.
  • Taking payments for our bookings using our payment system.
  • Keeping the venue and facilities clean and tidy at all times.
  • Providing help to market escape Asylum in the City Centre.
  • Promoting our services on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Problem solving and forward thinking within our games to ensure any faults are fixed immediately to ensure customer satisfaction
  • As you develop in the role you will be given additional responsibilities and tasks to ensure you are always given the opportunity to grow with the company and develop within your job role.

Desired skills

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, have excellent communication skills, and be well organised and conscientious in their approach to work.  Demonstrate the ability to operate well in a busy team environment and respond positively when dealing with people over the telephone in a professional manner that reflects the values of our business.

English and Mathematics GCSE grade D or above / Functional Skills Level 1

Future prospects

Most employers working with Leicester College are keen to offer permanent employment to a reliable, hardworking individual based on their performance throughout their Apprenticeship. This role is offered as an apprenticeship and therefore comes with a full package of training. Future opportunities within the business are possible and will be dependent on opportunity and performance.

Things to consider

As of the 1st April 2017 the Apprentice NMW is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. Interview, closing date possible start dates are only a guideline as interviews for this position will be held on an ongoing basis, therefore the start date could alter as the vacancy will close as soon as a successful candidate is selected. About the employer

At Escape Asylum we provide exit games in our new City Centre location. An exit game is a real life escape game experience. Teams are locked in a themed room for 60 minutes and must find keys, look for clues and solve puzzles to escape.
