We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Customer Service Apprentice to join an industry-leading food service supply company.  

 

If you’re bright, positive and professional and an intelligent and articulate individual this role is the right role for you. You’ll need to be confident within yourself and take control and ownership of your duties. This is an excellent role if you’re looking to launch your career with a professional, well-established business.

You would be joining a unique company with a very customer-centric approach, and this is a hands-on role, in a very proactive team. You need to be confident in dealing with people, enjoy multitasking and problem-solving, and have good PC skills.

 

General Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Handling incoming calls / emails
  • Diary management
  • Promotion of goods and services
  • Filing and document management
  • Document validation to ensure works are completed effectively
  • Purchase ordering/admin support
  • Sales order processing
  • Liaising with onsite/offsite staff
  • Provide online support
  • Social Media interaction

 

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication with a self-assured personality
  • A passion to deliver first-class customer service
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Minimum Grade C for GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • An excellent and confident telephone manner
  • Have an outwardly positive and passionate demeanour
  • A great eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
  • A helpful and willing attitude with a determination to succeed and excel

Minimum Grade C for GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).

Future prospects

Successful candidates will be able to progress to a permanent role within the business after completing their apprenticeship.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Training provider

  • Full Customer Service Apprenticeship incorporating NVQ at Level 2, where evidence will be gathered to build a portfolio showing your competency within the role.
  • Functional Skills to include Maths, English and IT (depending on award and previous qualifications) where a tested part will be completed. 
  • Complete a Technical Certificate to underpin your knowledge of working in the sector, this also comes with a tested part.
  • Full on the job training will also be provided by the employer as well as further training opportunities.
