Responsibilities of the HR Apprentice:

  • Dealing and responding to queries over the phone or by email,
  • Maintaining employee details on computer systems and files,
  • Creating letters and reports,
  • Updating employee holiday and sickness records,
  • Recording discussions during disciplinary procedures,
  • Implementing staff handbooks and newsletters,
  • Organising meetings,
  • Setting up recruitment and training events,
  • Conducting interviews by telephone and face to face.

Someone with ideally 5 GCSE grades (C and above) or equivalent, including English and Maths.

The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.

Training provider

Approximately 3% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 17% is done in the workplace, through workplace units, face-to-face meetings with your QA Assessor, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
