Responsibilities of the Bookings Coordinator Apprentice:
•    Keeping patient’s and service users health at the heart of everything you do and doing your utmost best to fill each booking
•    Managing bookings in a timely and efficient manner to achieve daily targets 
•    Identifying and assigning appropriate interpreters who have the correct level of experience, qualifications and security vetting to each booking
•    Ensuring all linguists adhere to industry standard code of ethics and investigating any breaches reported
•    Work closely with linguists, resolving any queries and problems and implementing changes to make future working practices more profitable and productive
•    Obtaining and analysing feedback
•    Conducting daily quality control checks for your bookings to ensure compliance; for example, running reports on the system to ensure that an interpreter has downloaded their job sheets, and that they have been reminded of their bookings

Someone with ideally 5 GCSE grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English

This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.

Training provider

Approximately 3% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 17% is done in the workplace, through workplace units, face-to-face meetings with your QA Assessor, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
