We are looking for a motivated, passionate individual to join their team as a Food and Beverage Apprentice. A highly sought after role, as well as having the opportunity to be mentored by our experienced F&B staff, you’ll also receive on-the-job training working towards a nationally recognised NVQ Level 2 in Food and Beverage Service.

What will I be doing?

As a Food and Beverage Apprentice, you are responsible for working in all areas of Food and Beverage as needed to deliver an excellent customer experience in line with the employers standards. A Food and Beverage Apprentice would also be required to take and deliver customer orders and work to achieve departmental targets. 
• Able to work in all areas of Food & Beverage including Bar, Restaurant
• Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner 
• Take and deliver customer orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service 
• Prepare set ups for tables and/or rooms 
• Follow cash handling procedures 
• Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner 
• Ensure compliance of brand standards 
• Strive to achieve departmental targets 
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas 
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

Things to consider

The key dates are to be used as a guide only. Should the right candidate be found, this vacancy may close early. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
