You will be involved in assisting with a full range of tasks including:

  • Vehicle inspections
  • Servicing
  • Repairs
  • MOTs
  • Changing of all filters, plugs, engine oil
  • Removal and inspection of all suspension bushes, joints, discs, pads, coil springs, brake pipes, hoses and exhaust systems
  • Checking tyres and fluids

Future prospects

For the right person, progression onto a Level 3 apprenticeship with the organisation. And a full time role after that.

Things to consider

From the 1st October 2016 a National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices has been introduced for young people aged 16-18 and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. The new rate is £3.50 per hour. The new NMW applies to time working plus time spent training as this is also part of the Apprenticeship. Anyone not covered by the age category above will be entitled to the NMW appropriate to their age.
