    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

  • Harfield Motor Services are a local, independent garage, serving Lymington and the surrounding area. Harfield Motor Services has an very experienced team of technicians that work on basic and advanced repairs.
  • The Apprentice will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the motor industry including, brakes, shock absorbers, car air conditioning, gearbox, car repairs, servicing, tyres. Along, with ensuring that the apprentice maintains a good level of customer service.

Qualifications required

Ideally should hold 5 GCSE A* - C or equivalent, but this is not essential. All students will need to take an aptitude test for Maths and English at Paragon.

Candidates also need to be keen to work towards gaining their driving license, as this is essential for the Motor Industry

Light Vehicle Motor garage in the heart of Milford on Sea, with a client base stretching across the local area. This is a very busy garage with a number for very experienced technicians with lots of experience.

This garage will cover all aspects of the Motor industry from Servicing to General repairs.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is �3.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
