Power - As a Power Apprentice, you will learn how to work on the electrical power systems that provide power to BT’s network

Switch - As a switch engineer, you will diagnose and fault find on the numerous switches that operate on a local, regional and international level. You'll also deal with faults on customer lines directly from within telephone exchanges. You will also work on and maintain IP Networks, diagnosing and fixing faults on the IP routers that send data to a given destination.

Radio - Radio and Rigging is a specialist role which can cover different areas such as design, installation, and maintenance and it requires an understanding of the Transmission Network

Qualifications required

you will need to have achieved or are predicted 4 GCSEs at grade C or equivalent or above including Maths and English Language. For some of our Engineering roles you will require a Maths Grade B or above, please see our website for more details.

Equivalent qualifications are accepted.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship in Engineering you will need to have a full driving licence on application as the role involves driving to sites.

You’ll work towards a Level 2 or 3 NVQ through work-based learning whilst also achieving functional skills, which are supported by a knowledge based qualification such as a BTEC.
