Vision Apprentices are working with D G Professional Interiors to recruit a Business Administration apprentice to work in the Nottingham area.

DG Professional Interiors take on the role of principal contractor, to ensure each and every project is well co-ordinated and delivered on time to the highest standards.

If successful, you will be completing a Business Administration Apprenticeship at Level 3.  The apprentice will be directly employed by D G Professional Interiors for the duration of the apprenticeship. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing business who now has an opportunity for someone who is keen to start their career in Administration.

The Post

Contracts Admin:

  • Creating O&M’s
  • Creating CDM’s
  • Creating site packs
  • Programmes – create and update
  • Dealing with site logistics, e.g. booking in of deliveries and parking dispensation
  • Inputting weekly site time sheets
  • Provide during office hours, full support to the contracts team for any office/admin assistance required
  • Proactively communicating with site/contracts to ensure everything that is required is in hand
  • Buying
  • All buying except for setting out and workshop sheet material
  • Ensuring all purchases are on time and in budget
  • Ensuring the credit card spreadsheet is up to date
  • Provide support and assistance with accounts on invoice queries and account issues
  • Seeking and developing relationships with new and existing suppliers

General Admin:

  • Matching Up of GRN’s to PO’s
  • Matching Up of Invoices to PO’s
  • Assisting others when fully worked up and ad hoc tasks - due to the nature of the business, this can be required to be carried out at times

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.

Future prospects

• Vision Apprentices has strong employer links within this region and industry sector and following on from successful completion of this apprenticeship there maybe the opportunity for progression onto an advanced/higher apprenticeship.

Things to consider

• This is a Monthly paid post and you are required to work a week in hand. • You may be required to work on a flexible basis. • You will be entitled to receive statutory minimum annual leave. • You are responsible for funding your own travel to and from your place of work and will be expected to travel as reasonably required. • Shortlisted applicants will be subject to a pre-screening assessment. • You must work with your assessor to complete course work on time and to a high standard. • You must conduct yourself in a safe and diligent manner and comply with health and safety policies and procedures. • You must uphold and promote the company policies and procedures, promoting those specifically to your area of work, including Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding. • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with the post. • In the event that there are excessive numbers of applicants, candidates who can demonstrate a high level of interest or experience will be preferred and will be shortlisted against the criteria, the vacancy may also close earlier than the planned closing date. **Please note, only applications with a current contact number and/or email address can be accepted.** The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
