Delivering beauty treatments appropriate to NVQ level 2 qualification, and embracing level 3 as qualification is achieved.

Working on reception, handling incoming enquiries, booking client appointments, retailing and recommending products and treatments and taking payments.

Ensuring the salon, treatment rooms and equipment are all operating safely at the highest level of cleanliness and efficiency.

The shifts are flexible and will be agreed with the successful candidate but are likely to be 2 shifts finishing at 8.30 pm each week and 3 out of 4 Saturdays.

Future prospects

The apprentice role will develop into a qualified beauty therapist role. Training in the specialists services we offer will also be a natural progression for a successful apprentice.

Things to consider

Competitive rate of pay above the NMW. 28 days holiday (includes Bank Holidays). free parking, commission on retail sales. Highly likely that part time shifts would be available for the right candidate prior to apprenticeship start date of early September. Will need own transport (Bus routes not good) Right to work in the UK must be provided. The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From April 2017 the ANMW was set at £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.

About the employer

Bijou is a destination clinic, we are not on a high street so most treatments are by appointment. The clinic has 3 treatment rooms and an open mani/pedi area. We have plenty of parking and are nestled in amongst the rural Grange Centre with it's magnificent oak trees. The clinic is a quiet relaxing environment for our clients to enjoy the services we offer. Our client profile is a mature individual looking for anti ageing treatments more than glamour.
