  • To support the operation of the Contract at South Hill Park working with the Head Chef to ensure an understanding of the action plan for the business.
  • To drive the business forward with the kitchen team to exceed the financial plan, planning effectively with the Head Chef.
  • To be aware of all revenues and costs of all revenue streams within budgetary restraints.
  • To ensure that you communicate on a regular basis with your Head Chef, and catering team.

Future prospects

There is a large kitchen team at South Hill Park, so prospects to move up the ranks is an option. There is also a possibility of moving to additional sites, when positions become available and are in the correct location for any candidate.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
