This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring gardener to work under one of the most prestigious golf course management teams. Daniel Turner is course’s manager whom has been managing the golf courses at Sunningdale for the last 22 years.

East Horton is making a concerted effort to push forward and improve every element of our establishment with our main focus being the condition of the golf courses and club and hotel gardens.

The chosen candidate will be trained and developed to hopefully fulfil their potential.

Qualifications required

Mathematics and English GCSE Grade D or above or equivalent.

The future prospects are endless dependant on the candidate’s potential. We are most certainly a business who prefers to nurture, train and promote from within.

Things to consider

Wages could be more for the right applicant. Our location doesn’t have great public transport link so own car would be advisable. Total working hours - Variable depending upon season & fixtures, 30-44hrs (over 18s only). Start times are flexible depending upon fixture and seasons. Early morning and afternoon starts and finishes. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
