The successful Apprentice would be providing administrative assistance to the office function with a variety of duties. This is a great opportunity to begin a career within a business environment in a varied an interesting role.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
This role requires prompt hard working candidates who have the ability to conduct their work methodically and pay particular attention to detail. The role involves client interaction through the telephone and email, therefore good communication and diplomacy skills are needed at all times.
The primary role of the Junior Administrator at PSG is to assist the relevant product delivery process through all its stages, whilst ensuring that the quality and standard of work is maintained at a high standard and that customer satisfaction is achieved throughout.
- Communication with internal and external customers, local authorities and third party suppliers
- Compilation and data input of core products, plans and third party products as requested
- Production of orders to local authorities
- Appointment booking and online ordering through local and regional energy assessors, local authorities and third party suppliers
- Scanning and filing of all product related documents
- Postal duties
Full training in the role will be provided and can include in house and external training courses to build on specific skills required for the role.
Requirements and prospects
Use of Microsoft Office packages is required, as is a good knowledge of English and clear, legible handwriting.
Candidates should be nicely presented and confident in communicating, as well as having a positive attitude towards working and learning.
GCSE at Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or the equivalent qualification.

About the employer
NVQ Diploma in Business Administration (Level 2) and combined Technical Certificate. Functional Skills in English, Mathematics and ICT also required if the successful candidate does not have a GCSE Grade A-C in these subjects, or the equivalent.
