  • Responsible for installation, configuration and maintenance of various Technical Services customer accounts including but not limited to, IBM, Waterstones, Brighthouse, Lenovo, Amscreen and Insight UK
  • Installation of various customer specific IT hardware builds and imaging
  • Repairing technical faults on PC’s and lap-tops
  • Working with Technical Engineers on operational and technical duties and producing results to the AVC Digital Technical Services Manager
  • Working within the Warrington Config Centre to install and maintain a variety of IT systems, including but not limited to EPOS systems, PC’s, CCTV, Digital Signage Audio Visual systems and a selection of IT Hardware
  • Shadowing engineers to customer sites when directed to assess any type of technical fault and submitting reports to the Technical Manager
  • Assisting with Troubleshooting and diagnostics across customer and internal technical solutions and systems
  • Ensuring all customer deliverables are carried out and recorded including surveys, documentation returns, and reporting
  • Ensuring all AVC Digital HSE procedures and documentation is adhered to and completed when necessary
  • Understanding the need for confidentiality when dealing with both internal and external information
  • To complete and keep updated the standard minimum AVC Digital competences requirement which are manual handling, working at height, asbestos awareness and CSCS

  • An understanding of Windows operating systems is essential, any experience of servers an advantage

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Training provider

The Estio Training IT Apprenticeship programme gives young people the opportunity to get practical experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive twelve weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.
