As an Apprentice you will work closely with all areas of the business, focusing mainly on the operations, transport and customer service.  By supporting you to gain NVQ qualifications, the programme will help you to develop as a multi-skilled records manager working on a range of high profile projects. 

You will spend the majority of your working week on site and underground at the Winsford Rock Salt Mine with support from an assessor at Mid Cheshire College to complete your qualifications.

  • Have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths, English and Science Grade C or above.

Qualifications required

  • GCSE’s A-C (or equivalent) are desirable but not essential as other qualifications will be considered.

Things to consider

The applicants are required to be over 18 as the working hours are 42 hours a week. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
