The “Get into Technology” Traineeship is a fantastic opportunity to gain exciting work experience within IT at a work class organisation while also working towards a Level 2 IT qualification and improving your employability, maths and English skills.
While on the work experience you will be able to practice your programming and app development and testing skills with the support of the mentor.
Are you eligible?
- Are you currently not in a job with little or no work experience?
- Are you aged 16 to 18 and qualified below Level 3 (A level) or aged 19 to 24 and not yet achieved a Level 2 (5 GCSE’s at grade C including maths and English)?
Training to be provided
You will also have the opportunity to work towards a Level 2 IT qualification.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.30 per hour from the 1st October 2015. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training
