What you will do in your working day

·       Handling daily telephone calls, taking messages, and managing the intercom entrance system.

·       Greet and assist customers and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.

·       Filing – general filing of sales orders, purchase invoices, and customer remittances.

·       Opening, organising, and filing all post.

·       Managing sales orders throughout the day, including dispatching, and conducting order checks.

·       Sending end-of-day customer invoices via email and addressing any invoice-related queries.

·       Company purchasing – managing orders for all office supplies including stationery and refreshments.

·       Handling courier-related queries and invoices.

·       Loading and managing customer credit card receipts onto our software system.

·       Providing support to the management team with various administrative tasks and assisting other departments if needed.

The training you will be getting

The apprentice will work towards the Business Administrator Standard. This will be delivered through group training once a month at our centre in Newbury and 1-1 training and review meetings.

Maths and English Functional Skills will be delivered either remotely or in person if required.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Ongoing training and development are encouraged.
