Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack tile orders to meet customer requirements.
- Order Fulfilment: Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
- Warehouse Organisation: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by ensuring that all stock is stored safely and securely.
- Loading and Unloading: Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment to load/unload tiles as required.
- Inventory Checks: Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure all safety equipment is used properly.
- General Warehouse Duties: Support other areas of the warehouse as required, including helping with returns, labelling, and quality checks.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
Ability to operate forklifts (preferably, though training can be provided). - Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional overtime. - Driving Licence.

- Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
- Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
- Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
- support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
- Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
- Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules.
- Carry out and record learning and development activities.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade C/4 or above)
- Maths (grade C/4 or above)
