Summary

We’re looking for an Apprentice Operational Manager to join our passionate team at Primary Care Dietitians. This role is all about supporting new mothers — helping them nourish themselves during pregnancy, feed their infants, and feel empowered through nutrition.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

This role will be key in the operational success and development of the programme.
You will be fully supported by both the Primary Care Dietitians leadership team and the Apprenticeship Training provider to develop your programme and people management skills.
You will develop responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service delivery, including

  • Booking delivery venues and events
  • Coordinating the scheduling of filming and editing of the specialist content by the experts and video editon
  • Uploading content to the digital platforms
  • Review and manage social media feeds for appropriateness of content
  • Manage push message notifications to families signed up for the digital platform
  • Recording and directing enquiries into the programme to the most appropriate person in the team

You will support families directly by

  • Undertaking an initial triage of referrals for appropriateness
  • Booking participants to their preferred/ most suitable option
  • You will support the improvement of the programme by monitoring data relating to participants and their successes and difficulties
  • Using this data with other members of the team, identify opportunities to improve the delivery of the programme continuously
  • Supporting the Primary Care Dietitian Leader to create succinct, impactful quarterly reports to demonstrate the progress and success of the programme.
  • Work with external evaluators to understand the effects of changes made as a result of the continuous improvements made

Your training plan

This role is based in Donaster. You will attend online or in person classes.

GCSE in:

Primary Care Dietitians is England's only independent specialist first contact dietetics provider. We are purely focused on supporting NHS Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and their GP practices to deliver high-quality and tech-enabled NHS primary care FCD solutions. Through PCD, our dietitians will work through the Roadmap with us, and be supported by experienced and Health Education England trained clinical supervisors, with an aim to deliver an integrated and local FCD managed service to provide quality care to patients.
