Brush in Loughborough are recruiting a Field Services Apprentice to carry out on-site/off-site maintenance, inspections, repairs, installation, retrofits and modification of BRUSH’s range of Tapchanger and Transformer products. Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- 6 - 12 months of product specific site based training on all aspects of transformer design and manufacture. This will include all areas of the business from the tender stage through to the final test
- Maintenance, repair, installation and retrofit of the company's range of Tapchanger and Transformer products, both on site and in our Loughborough factory. The initial 12 months will be factory-based
- Disassemble, overhaul, fault find, repair, rebuild Tapchanger’s, transformers both on-site and in-work as required
- Work to specifications and technical requirements
- Undergo training as necessary to ensure that current and future H&S requirements are met at all times
- Work in accordance with on-site risk assessments on every assignment
- Provide written reports on completion of each assignment

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
5 subjects including Maths, English and Science (grade C / 4 or equivalent)BTEC in:
Engineering (Level 3) OR a-Level Maths & Physics (grade Pass/ Achieved)Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
