What you will do in your working day

For the management and technical teams, you will work with tools such as Odoo, Postman, Python, Webhooks, Azure Function Apps, Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate to unify operations and improve the current operations of providing customers with IT Support.

For Sales and Marketing, assistance may be required with WordPress, PHP, HTML and CSS but this will only cover a small area of work. 

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Using Azure Logic and Function Apps to write simple code (C#, .NET Core etc) to automate processes within the technical team.
  • Use APIs from various vendors to improve data accuracy within these systems.
  • Troubleshoot basic issues with websites (such as incorrect code) where required for our marketing team.
  • Create new applications within the company which improve efficiencies, primarily in Python.
  • Work with all teams to ensure that any applications built internally are securely developed.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Software Development Technician, with training in how to:

  • Implement secure code in appropriate languages of different types.
  • Support the communication of software solutions and ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Conduct a range of test types.
  • Build scripts in line with work instructions for deployment into the relevant environment.
  • Design simple software solutions to meet your requirements using tools and techniques.
