    Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:30. This will be confirmed at interview as their will be some shift work involved in the latter part of the apprenticeship.

What you will do in your working day

During your two years, you will have placements in various areas to include:

  • Printed Circuit Board and Product Assembly - preparing equipment, tooling, materials, etc. and complete set up activities before carrying out the materials, processing or finishing operation
  • Logistics - paying attention to specific quality specifications for materials, processing or finishing operations
  • Repair Centres - to carry out the technical support operation in line with specific safe working practices and specification requirements

At the end of your two years, you will be competent in a range of aspects of Manufacturing at our Poole facility.

The training you will be getting

The established two-year training programme gives an introduction into Yunex Traffic and specifically our award winning manufacturing facility.

You will gain an understanding in mechanical assembly and a basic insight into electronics.

You will also achieve the Level 2 Engineering Operative Standard through day release at college, which includes two qualifications;

  • Diploma in engineering operations (skills)
  • Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge)

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Permanent position as a factory employee.
