What you will do in your working day

Weekly tasks would include:

  • Answering the telephone
  • Opening and replying to e-mails
  • Providing admin support for the CEO
  • Supporting with the organisation of events, online campaigns and other event activities
  • Logging enquiries for counselling support
  • Maintaining database
  • Liaising with counsellors
  • Invoicing and finance 

The training you will be getting

You will study towards a Business Administration level 3 Apprenticeship standard. You will attend regular activity days at college spending time with other apprentices, college transport is available. 

You will also receive a workplace induction on commencement and ongoing training will be provided on systems, processes and procedures.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

A permanent position maybe available on the successful completion of your apprenticeship, subject to the charity's future development.

About the employer

The Thomas Theyer Foundation supports children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those experiencing Difficult Life Circumstances (DLC), their parents/carers. The charities focus is the physical and mental health of its beneficiaries, and it does this by promoting and providing access to outdoor activities, and counselling and other therapeutic support. The charity was established in 2013 following the death of Thomas Samuel Theyer, and became a registered charity in 2015.
