What you will do in your working day

  • Maintaining/Checking skip movement records so they are accurate for invoicing
  • Maintaining/Checking daily trade waste records so they are accurate for invoicing
  • Assist with producing internal statistical reports
  • Become proficient with using Microsoft Excel & sage software
  • Process sales card payments through sage and online portals
  • Dealing with any post
  • Dealing with customer requests through telephone/email etc
  • Helping with general office tasks such as filling
  • Helping to maintain the cleanliness of the office/keeping your desk tidy/helping to organise storage or destruction of paperwork etc
  • Assist the accounts team with day-to-day activities
  • Help to provide cover when members of the finance team are unavailable
  • Organising of drivers time sheets ready for payroll
  • Any other office duties as required that befit your role or add to your learning

The training you will be getting

  • You will study towards the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Attending college every 6 weeks you’ll complete an activity day and spend time in class with other apprentices, college transport is available
  • In the workplace you’ll receive full support to gain the skills, knowledge and behaviours you need to achieve your apprenticeship. You’ll be given lots of guidance on systems, processes and procedures

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • There is excellent potential for a permanent role within a particular team on the successful completion of your apprenticeship, this could be HR, Finance, Sales or Customer Service for example
