What you will do in your working day
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Adhering to welfare requirements
- Keeping children safe from harm
- Supporting children with self-care
- Carrying out daily observations in the online learning journal and updating learning profiles and daily diaries
- Contributing to planning ideas
- Attending courses and commitment to completion of college assignments
- Carrying out daily tasks assigned by the room leader
- Completing house training as discussed with the nursery manager
The training you will be getting
- Early Years Educator level 3 apprenticeship. Apprenticeships will attend college every 6 weeks for an activity day at one of the campuses. College transport is available
- Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
- Paediatric first aid qualification
They will also be visited in the workplace by their college instructor mentor who will discuss progress with them and their line manager/workplace mentor.
The business also provides access to Noodle Now training courses, along with witchcraft abuse, FGM, prevent and behaviour management.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- It's anticipated on successful completion of this apprenticeship that the apprentice would stay with the team on a full-time basis, there may also be opportunity to progress to a level 4 qualification
