Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship at Johns Hair Design. You will be joining a busy salon, with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop your skills in the Hairdressing Industry. You will receive a mixture of inhouse training, mentoring and shadowing. College attendance and day release and training via our training provider NWSLC.

    Monday - Day off, Tuesday - 9am - 6pm Wednesday - College attendance 9.30am - 4pm, Thursday 9am - 8pm, Friday 9am- 6pm, Saturday 8.30am - 4pm. Please note you must be 18 or over to work more than 8hrs a day.

What you will do in your working day

  • Meet and greet clients
  • Client hospitality/customer care
  • Assisting and shadowing stylists
  • Shampooing, colours, blow-drying and styling under supervision
  • Maintaining a clean working environment within the salon

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Apprentice Hair Professional qualification, awarding body VCTC - VTCT - Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals (Hairdressing) 603/1323/7
  • Functional Skills (if required)
  • Day release at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College at our Nuneaton Campus
  • In house training, shadowing and mentoring provided by Johns Hair Design
  • Quarterly training sessions provide by Wella hair around the latest colouring products and processes

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • On Completion of the Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship there may be a full-time position available for the right candidate.
  • Opportunity to complete Level 3 Hair Professional Apprenticeship.

Things to consider

Have an understanding of the apprentice role within in the Hairdressing Industry, Understand the importance of cleaning and keeping the work environment tidy, understand customer care and this will include client care , booking in appointments and making and receiving phone calls. The role will include working Saturdays and 1 late evening a week. You will receive 2 days off each week, and the total working week will 39 hours , this will include your day release at college.
