What you will do in your working day
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls and other network devices
- Collaborate with team members to deploy and manage network services, including VPNs, VLANs, and DHCP
- Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Assist in the design and implementation of network infrastructure solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in network engineering
The training you will be getting
- You will receive a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Network Engineering
- All training will be delivered virtually, with a 1-day release per week
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Upon completion of your apprenticeship, the vision is that you move into a permanent role within the department or wider Council
