What you will do in your working day

  • Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls and other network devices
  • Collaborate with team members to deploy and manage network services, including VPNs, VLANs, and DHCP
  • Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Assist in the design and implementation of network infrastructure solutions
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in network engineering

The training you will be getting

  • You will receive a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Network Engineering
  • All training will be delivered virtually, with a 1-day release per week

  • Upon completion of your apprenticeship, the vision is that you move into a permanent role within the department or wider Council
