What you will do in your working day

  • The successful candidate will be working within a fast paced food manufacturing environment, providing an opportunity to join a multi-skilled Engineering team as an apprentice Engineer
  • You will have exposure to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic engineering and learn with a hands on approach.
  • Exposure will also be given to control and environmental systems
  • You will join a small and dynamic, hands on maintenance/ engineering team who can be involved in anything from preventative maintenance, to urgent reactive maintenance for site needs
  • Creativity and innovation is encouraged within the industry as often engineering solutions can be tailor made and bespoke to our workplace
  • You must be able to follow instruction and be a responsible individual

The training you will be getting

  • You will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Engineering Technician (Mechatronics Maintenance) apprenticeship with Cornwall College St Austell
  • You will be required to attend the college one day per week (term time only)

Things to consider

Treburley is a rural location, however there is a bus stop nearby offering a transport link to Launceston, Callington and Plymouth. Please consider the distance of travel when applying for an apprenticeship vacancy. If you live outside of a reasonable commuting distance from the place of work an explanation of your travel plans will be expected within your application.
